All 3 builds will be judged together and one team will be selected as the winner. But ideally it should still be recognizable as the same robot between builds. The robot’s appearance might change somewhat. The robot’s role in society might change. All 3 builds should be one story about the same robot. In this category you and your team of 3 will build 3 models (one by each team member) telling the story of your robot over a span 1000 years. Robots can be functional for hundreds or even thousands of years.

The play feature does not have to be anything super fancy (it could be as simple as retractable landing gear), but your creativity with the play feature will be taken into account in judging. Those who enter at least 3 different categories will be eligible for the grand prize award - Jam Master:īuild a star fighter that has at least one play feature of function. The 1st place winner will decide which they want, and 2nd place will get the other. In general each category will have 2 prizes, one being a brick built trophy, and one being a set. The judges' scores will be averaged to reach the final score of each entry. However many judges have submitted their scores by February 15th will be the only scores used. The judging will take place over a 2 week time frame, with the results released on February 15th. Judges will give each build a score from 1 to 10 and are encouraged to consider how unique the build is, how well it fits the category, presentation quality, and overall build quality. if the same contestant qualifies for more than 1 prize, he or she chooses which prize to receive and the other prizes will be awarded to the runner ups.
